The chords, however, are from the Dwight CD. I do not know what key it was done originally. It sounds great if you develop a picking pattern for the chords since it is a relatively slow song. Here is an the picking patter I use. * = 1 beat in 4/4 time. Each space is a 1/16 note. Tempo is about 70 - 80 beats per minute. G * * * * e-----------------| B-----0-----------| G-----0-----------| Repeat 1X D-------0h2-0----0| A----2--------0h2-| E-3---------------| C * * * * e------------------| B-----0------------| G-----0-0h2-0-----0| Repeat 1X D---2----------0h2-| A-3----------------| E------------------| D * * * * e-----2--0--------| B-----3-3---3---3-| G---2----------2--| Repeat 1X D-0-----------0---| A-----------------| E-----------------| Play the pickin patter for each chord listed below. NC G Everybody gone away C Said they're moving' to LA D There's not a Soul I know around G Everybody's leavin' town G Some caught a freight some caught a plane C find the sunshine leave the rain D they say this town will waste your time G I guess they're right it wasted mine Chorus G (one strum) Am (one strum) Some got to win, some got to lose D G Good Time Charlie's got the blues D G Good Time Charlie's got the blues Verse 3 G Everybody keeps tellin' me C You're not a kid a 33 D You play around you'll lose your wife G You play too long you'll lose your life Verse 4 G Got my pills to ease the pain C Can't find a thing to stop the rain D I'd like tryin' to settle down G But everybody's leavin' town.
